Distinct ENERGY Performance begins the process with an interview with you, the property owner, to help you understand concerns you have about your property’s energy use and comfort.
Distinct ENERGY Performance team will also review your utility bills to compare them to similar homes in your area and determine how energy is potentially being wasted in your home.
Step 2 – A COMPREHENSIVE HOME ENERGY AUDIT
After the interview, Distinct ENERGY Performance team will inspect your property and evaluate which improvements are needed—inspecting your home inside and out, including the heating and cooling equipment, duct systems, and even lighting and appliances.
Distinct ENERGY Performance inspects your attic, basement (if you have one), or crawlspace (if you have them), and run diagnostic tests to check the home’s envelope and duct leakage, or use an infrared camera to find the trouble spots.
Step 3 – SOLUTION PLAN OF ACTION
Distinct ENERGY Performance will evaluate all the information and prepare a detailed work proposal outlining recommended improvements creating the shortest and highest return for your investment. Distinct ENERGY Performance will also introduce you to the various financing opportunities or other incentives, where available.
Step 4 – RETROFIT YOUR PROPERTY
Once you decide which improvements to make, Distinct ENERGY Performance, as a general contractor, will manage and oversee the entire job from start to finish. We take pride in making sure the work is performed at the highest level of quality to ensure the best results on your property.
Step 5– MEASURE RESULTS
When we complete the work, Distinct ENERGY Performance’s team will run another set of tests to show the difference your improvements have made. Depending on the improvements you chose to make, we aim to see a minimum of 20% or more in savings on your annual utility bill. While saving money on utility bills, you will also see more comfort in your home or business. |
