These key areas triggered the unity of real estate, construction and environmental veterans Kevin Parkinson, Annette Bubak and Christopher Cadwell, who together founded Distinct ENERGY Performance, a leading residential and commercial energy performance contractor. With more than 30 years of home building experience and utilizing today's high performance and green energy science, Distinct ENERGY Performance provides energy-efficient analysis and improvements for both residential and commercial structures to create high-performing properties.
A “one-stop shop” for energy service needs, Distinct ENERGY Performance offers energy audits, retrofitting, insulation and HVAC services. A general contractor as well as a consulting company, the firm has the ability to perform the necessary upgrades needed to ensure a high performance structure. It strives to assist clients in making changes, small or large, that improve the affordability, comfort and safety of a home or business.
Distinct ENERGY Performance and its team of specialized technicians are accredited by the Building Performance Institute and certified by the Residential Energy Services Network. RESNET certification allows Distinct ENERGY Performance to provide a Home Energy Rating System, or HERS rating, on the home or business.

Kevin Parkinson is co-founder and managing owner of Las Vegas-based Distinct Energy Performance, a residential and commercial energy performance general contractor specializing in energy audit, retrofit and HVAC services.
Parkinson is responsible for the operations of the organization and quality assurance.
Prior to forming Distinct Energy Performance with partners Annette Bubak and Christopher Caldwell, Parkinson was vice-president and co-owner of Stanpark Construction, a local homebuilder. A 31-year veteran in the real estate and construction industry, Parkinson possesses an extensive background in real estate acquisition analysis, planning, management and construction of large-scale infrastructure projects as well as vertical construction management and marketing.
A hands-on owner of a successful homebuilding company, Parkinson is knowledgeable of energy-efficiency standards, including working closely with contractors and subcontractors in all aspects interior homebuilding (walls, windows, insulation levels, attic ventilation, space heating/cooling equipment, water heating and appliances).
In 1978, Parkinson formed a real estate title and escrow company in Southern Utah, and in 1981, established a development and construction firm specializing in single-family housing.
Along with his duties at Distinct Energy Performance, Parkinson is owner of Distinct Homes, LLC, which specializes in the acquisition of land and residential development. Currently, a project is being headed in Brigham City, Utah for the community of Kotter Canyon Estates that will eventually encompass 128 lots ranging from custom, duplex, and patio homes.
Annette Bubak serves as co-founder, director of marketing and business development for Distinct ENERGY Performance, a Las Vegas-based residential and commercial energy performance general contractor specializing in energy audit, retrofit and HVAC services.
Bubak is responsible for generating new business in the residential and commercial markets, as well as forming partnerships with utilities, lenders and government agencies that improve the availability of energy audits and improvements in Southern Nevada.
A 20-year veteran of the real estate marketing industry, Bubak is a founding member and current president of Nevada ENERGY STAR® Partners, a coalition of stakeholders that includes homebuilders, developers, manufacturers, trade contractors, municipalities, utilities and consultants to implement ENERGY STAR qualified programs that improve energy efficiency.
As a member of Nevada ENERGY STAR Partners, she played a role in the organization’s receipt of Environmental Protection Agency’s Sustained Excellence Energy Star Award for seven consecutive years, a feat unrivaled by any other partner in the country.
In 2008, Bubak broadened the reach of Nevada ENERGY STAR Partners to include the mid/high-rise development community and partnered with local utilities to focus on water and natural resource conservation, in addition to energy conservation. She is credited with having achieved a 90-plus percent awareness of ENERGY STAR in Southern Nevada and an increase of ENERGY STAR homes built in the local market from 20 to nearly 70 percent.
She also formed The GREEN ALIANCE to bring together like-minded companies, businesses and individuals to exchange ideas, network and work together to advance the mission of conservation and adopting a greener lifestyle for the good of the planet. With the success of the Nevada ENERGY STAR Partners and the GREEN ALLIANCE effort, she has been the driver in growing the organization statewide by launching the first northern Nevada campaign in 2009.
During this accomplishment, Bubak set her sights on enlarging the scope and influence of the green movement in Southern Nevada. In 2009, she played a key role in launching The GREEN ENERGY show, a state-wide radio program to engage the community in all things green.
In addition to co-founding Distinct Energy Performance, Bubak runs her own consulting company, Bubak Consulting, where she brought her decades of experience to the market place after serving in a variety of executive marketing and sales positions for such Southern Nevada developments as Boca Raton Luxury Condominiums, Sullivan Square, Astoria Homes and Hearthstone Homebuilders.
Finally, Bubak is an active member of the Southern Nevada Home Builders’ Association Sales and Marketing Council, Nevada ENERGY STAR® Partners’ Strategic Committee, NV-A-Bet, Las Vegas High-Rise Condominium Association Governing Board/Sales and Marketing Council, Chamber of Commerce Green Council and Greater Las Vegas Assoc. of Realtors. She is a past member of Southern Nevada Home Builders’ Green Building Development Committee and Las Vegas Water Authority Water Smart Coalition.

Harvey Yeaton is General Superintendent of Las Vegas-based Distinct Energy Performance, a residential and commercial energy performance general contractor specializing in energy audit, retrofit and HVAC services.
Yeaton is responsible for overseeing all construction policies, from formation to effective procedural implementation, project scheduling and construction supervision.
Prior to joining Distinct Energy Performance, he spent more than 10 years with Stanpark Construction Company, where he most recently served as general superintendent overseeing job site management, customer service and production of six residential developments in Southern Nevada.
With nearly three decades of experience in the construction industry, Yeaton brings unmatched knowledge and professionalism to the company. His experience is diversified among nearly every phase of construction.
A native of California, he holds contractor licenses in California and Nevada.
Christopher Cadwell is co-founder and operations manager for Las Vegas-based Distinct Energy Performance, a residential and commercial energy performance general contractor specializing in energy audit, retrofit and HVAC services. Cadwell manages the company’s technical and sales support staff.
Prior to forming Distinct Energy Performance with business partners Kevin Parkinson and Annette Bubak, Cadwell owned and operated air conditioning, roofing and insulation companies in Southern Nevada.
With 15 years of experience in the construction industry, Cadwell has a multitude of experience in training groups from journeyman to apprenticeship levels, including classes involving Environmental Protection Agency certifications and energy performance. With his background in spiritual counseling, Cadwell coaches the Distinct Energy Performance team on winning principles and successful sales tactics.
Cadwell adds several years of continuing education in specialty fields of construction, in addition to business courses. Cadwell holds numerous industry licenses and certifications including Air Conditioning, Roofing and Insulation state contractor licenses; EPA certification required for refrigerants; as well as Building Performance Institute (BPI) and RESNET certifications for energy performance testing and Green Home Energy Upgrade Levels I-III.
In addition, Cadwell will serve as a trainer for HomeFree Nevada, the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR®program from the EPA and U.S. Department of Energy.
